1. The Brief
At Kimberlin Education, we have a product called KE Teacher. KE Teacher is a resources website where teachers, parents and students are able to find resources across many topics for students from K to 12.
2. Our proposition
We wanted to update the website so it had the ability to host not just activity resources but interactive games, educational videos and live classrooms.
3. Sketches
I did some quick sketches of the new UI with the focus on the user being either a student or teacher. My goal was the make the site simple to use and with COVID, the site was more important for teachers, students and parents to be able to find the appropriate lesson during remote learning.
4. User journey
I created a user journey for students and educators to get a better understanding the behaviours of the users and get a better understanding of the user and how they would use this website.
5. Development and Deployment
I worked closely with the Digital Lead and other developers and designers to produce this website. I used Adobe XD for the UI designs. This also included developing video content which was sponsored by companies to create learning videos for students during the COVID pandemic.
