Welcome to Bill Chan Portfolio. This is my personal website of work I have produced as a creative working in UX/UI design, learning, advertising, marketing and publishing.

I am passionate about crafting meaningful and intuitive experiences, with a focus on UX, learning, human-centered design (HCD) and innovative thinking.

Over the years, I’ve partnered with companies such as Macquarie Bank, Samsung, Telstra, Cricket Australia, Ricoh, Westpac and Optus to bring user-focused design solutions to life, bridging the gap between functional design and the human experience. Here, you'll find a mix of my work, insights, and reflections on design’s evolving role in shaping our world.

UX/UI DESIGN

Skills in designing websites using Dreamweaver and have both front-end UI and back-end web development skills. Also have skills using UX/UI design applications like Axure and Balsamiq.

MOBILE APPS

Designing mobile apps from user interface concepts to mobile magazine apps using Adobe Digital Publishing Suite and MagPlus.

LEADERSHIP

I have led teams with designers, journalists, video editors and developers in a design environment creating designs for print, web, video and mobile apps.

CREATIVE

I love being able to get a brief and develop ideas to create award winning designs across many media platforms.

COMMUNICATION

Either working with marketing/advertising departments or technical/creative departments, I have great communication skills so I can produce excellent design work.

PRINT DESIGN

Designing print executions such as print ads, brochures, outdoor billboards and point of sale displays for companies such as Samsung, LG, Telstra, Microsoft and Vicks.

IT Journalism Award winner for 'Atomic' magazine published by Haymarket Media Australia.

BEST FUTURE LEARNING MODEL: SCALING TACIT KNOWLEDGE - LEARNX AWARDS

'Learn, Create, Share' learning program was deployed to Banking & Financial Services at Macquarie to train and help users develop their own learning material using video content which would be made available on internal communication platforms such as Slack, Workplace and SharePoint.
